The Basement's Website Photography
Padstow is renowned for it’s excellent restaurants, so when Dave and Emma-Kate asked me if I could do the photography for their new website for The Basement I was thrilled.
The Basement is a locally run restaurant with the best view in town and quite frankly some of the best food as well. With locally sourced produce, fresh from the boat to the table, with a variety of specials depending on the catch, The Basement holds it’s own against the more well known fish establishments in the town but with a more reasonable price tag.
Their new glass pod is just the best - right on the quay, you really couldn’t get any closer if you tried! You can watch the world go by and when the weather is nice the roof comes back giving you that alfresco dining experience.
I think I had one of my most enjoyable days photographing all of their dishes and of course getting to have a sneaky nibble here and there!
Being in my most favourite location (Padstow harbour) I pass by most mornings, so if there is something different in the quay or the mayday flags are up or it’s just looking fab, I’ll take a picture and send it over to Dave and Emma-Kate for them to post on their social media.
The Basement I still think is one of the best reasonably priced restaurants in Padstow and I have to admit we do eat there regularly. If you are passing give it a try the mackerel starter is awesome and the fish curry, lobster and Sunday roast are seriously not to be missed!
